NEGLIGENT SECURITY: Plaintiff rented a vehicle from Dollar Rent-A-Car. She claimed that there was $72,000.00 in jewelry and equipment stolen out of the vehicle while it was on the Dollar Rent-A-Car lot. Plaintiff, her husband, and an ex-Dollar employee each testified that another Dollar employee stole the jewelry and equipment out of the car, when she went out of the Dollar Rent-A-Car office. Two independent witnesses testified that they saw the thief running away with the property and that it looked like a Dollar employee. Defendant claimed that the thief was not a Dollar employee.
Verdict for Defendant.
