DENISE BOHNE vs. PETER TRILSCH  (Monroe County Case No.:  97-1307  CA 11 Judge Sandra Taylor).

Defendant's Attorney:  MICHAEL P. RUDD

NEGLIGENT LIABILITY: Mr. Trilsch was sandblasting a glass door on the back deck of his home. After spraying the glass with a hose, Mr. Trilsch allegedly leaned the glass against a railing and went inside the house. He then asked Ms. Bohne, who was his live-in girlfriend, to examine the design he had etched into his glass. The glass allegedly broke as Ms. Bohne pulled the glass away from the wall to inspect it and was laying it back against the railing, severely lacerating her wrist. Ms. Bohne claimed that the glass was etched too thin so as too make it unreasonably dangerous. Ms Bohne claimed to have sustained a major laceration to her right wrist with  complete severing of tendons, main arteries, and the lunar and medial nerves. Ms Bohne had past medical charges totaling $35,891.18 and asked for $300,000 for Pain & Suffering at trial.

Defense Verdict.
